Indications
• Diseases of the sacroiliac joint (SI joint syndrome, SI joint arthrosis, SI joint instability)
• Pelvic girdle instability, e. g. symphysis rupture and loosening
• Sacroiliac joint blockage (acute and prophylactic)
• Myalgia and tendinopathy in the pelvic region
• Structural disturbances following spondylodeses (in the transition from L5 to S1)
• Non-surgical treatment following pelvic fractures
Features
• Elastic mesh material with an anatomical shape for a high level of wearing comfort in terms of breathability, snugness, and position stability during movement.
• Tensioning straps dorsally redirected from the outside to the inside.
• Two pads with massage nubs are dorsally fixed to the inside of the straps and directly controlled for a targeted effect. Cutouts at the iliac spine (SIPS) for better wearing comfort.
• Lateral deflection loops for a high level of pressure distribution without exerting much energy.
• Thin, low-profile fastening with soft edges for enhanced wearing comfort.
• Practical, wide hand loops making it convenient and easy to put on with minimal effort
• High level of patient compliance as the orthosis can be worn inconspicuously under clothing.
Mode of action
• The circular compression provided by the pelvic support and its two tensioning straps straightens the sacrum and relieves the local ligaments.
• The proprioceptive effect improves muscle tone.
• The degree of stabilization and therefore the relief can be individually adjusted using the tensioning straps.
• The two dorsal pads provide a massaging effect during movement. This promotes circulation, helps reduce pain, and relieves tension.
