Indications
• Knee irritation (patellofemoral pain syndrome, patellar chondropathy, chondromalacia, patellar tip syndrome / jumper’s knee, runner’s knee)
• Patellar lateralization
• High-riding patella (patella alta)
• After lateral release surgery
• Feeling of instability

Features
• Train knit design: particularly stretchy, breathable and moisture-wicking for excellent wearing comfort especially behind the knee.
• A special fabric weave that is gentle on the skin covers the critical popliteal area.
• The corrective strap is positioned along the lateral patellar margin and can be individually adjusted.
• The anatomically shaped pad surrounds and protects the patella and makes it easier to position the support correctly.
• There are two friction points on the distal section of the pad. The proximal section of the pad extends to the muscle-tendon junction of the teardrop muscle.
• A crescent-shaped medial patella cover is integrated into the patella recess in the pad.
• The muscle-relaxing pad (the only one of its kind in the world) is located at the lateral upper edge of the support.

Mode of action
• External compression accelerates the absorption of edemas and effusions. Proprioception is improved, which helps joint stability.
• The soft knit fabric used for the popliteal area provides both excellent wearing comfort and medically effective compression.
• Together with the adjustable corrective strap, the pad centers the patella. It stops the patella from drifting laterally.
• After surgery, the adjustable corrective strap safeguards positive surgical outcomes.
• The friction points reduce pressure and alleviate pain in the retropatellar area.
• Together with the intermittent compression, the proximal pad section of the support stimulates the teardrop muscle, reduces pain and stimulates metabolism.
• The medial patella cover counteracts medial tilting of the patella during activity. This helps physiological movement of the patella.
• The sensorimotor feedback triggered by the muscle-relaxing pad causes the
iliotibial tract on the lateral patellar retinaculum to relax slightly, thereby minimizing the lateral pull on the patella. This takes the strain off the patella and pain is reduced.
